EDC Necessity

Welcome to the EDC Blog. In case you do not know, EDC stands for every day carry.

The Taurus TCP is a very popular EDC firearm chambered in .380 ACP.
What does every day carry mean? Well, shortly put, it means the documents, gadgets, tools that you carry with you every day to help prepare you for the day's events. Whether the items be a wallet, a wristwatch, car keys, a cell phone, pocket knife, flashlight or even a defensive tool such as a firearm or kubotan, all these items make up what is known as EDC gear.

The Quark 123 is a small but bright EDC flashlight.
Thinking about EDC has been gaining popularity lately, and it's a good thing. More people are starting to seriously think about preparedness and every day survival in order to lessen the chances of being caught off guard.

Having the appropriate tools is one thing, but knowing how to use them is another. In this blog, I will help prepare you mentally, while giving you my views on various pieces of EDC gear. I'm glad that you're here and that you've decided to come along on this adventure as we explore the world of every day preparedness.
